Ansept Construction is a growing general contractor delivering residential, commercial, multifamily, restoration, and design-build projects across Western Canada. We are hiring Project Managers to lead project delivery across our operating regions.
The Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from pre-construction handoff through closeout, including budget management, schedule oversight, client relationships, and subcontractor coordination. This role works in close partnership with Site Superintendents who manage day-to-day field operations, while the Project Manager provides overall project direction to ensure profitability, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.
Available Locations
• Edmonton, Alberta
• Fort McMurray, Alberta
• Winnipeg, Manitoba
• Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Select your preferred location(s) in the application form. If you’re open to managing projects across multiple regions, let us know.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of assigned projects from pre-construction handoff through closeout, including scope management, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
• Monitor project financials on an ongoing basis, including cost tracking, subcontractor invoice review, change order documentation, and margin reporting to ensure projects remain profitable.
• Coordinate with Site Superintendents on project progress, trade sequencing, schedule risks, and recovery planning, ensuring field operations align with project objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits to review quality, assess progress against milestones, and verify that change orders and additional work are properly documented and approved prior to execution.
• Prepare and maintain weekly project status reports for leadership, providing a clear summary of schedule health, budget position, active risks, and next steps for each assigned project.
What We Offer
• Competitive salary based on experience, with growth as Ansept scales.
• A diverse project portfolio: residential renovations, commercial builds, multifamily, restoration, and design-build.
• Autonomy to run your projects with support from senior leadership when you need it.
• A clear career path: strong PMs at Ansept move into Lead PM and senior leadership roles.
• Hybrid flexibility: office for project controls and team coordination, sites for quality assurance and stakeholder management.
• A company that’s growing fast across Western Canada and values people who want to grow with it.
You Must Have (Non-Negotiable)
• Minimum 3–5 years of construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Working knowledge of building codes and workplace safety legislation in your province.
• Existing subcontractor and supplier relationships in your local market.
This Role Is Not Right for You If…
We respect your time. If any of the following apply, this probably isn’t the right fit, but we’d encourage you to check our other openings.
✖ You’ve only coordinated projects without owning the budget and schedule. We need PMs who own the full project, not just support it.
✖ You can’t speak to specific budgets, margins, and cost variances on projects you’ve managed. Financial ownership is central to this role.
✖ You’ve only worked on one project type (e.g., only residential new-build). Ansept’s portfolio requires adaptability across sectors.
✖ You’re not comfortable managing client relationships directly, including delivering difficult news about schedule or budget changes.
